TD Green Energy Park is an energy efficient park that recreated an existing green space behind a TD Canada Trust bank that was retrofitted to become the first net zero energy bank branch in Canada. Several solar panel structures to produce renewable energy were incorporated into the meadow-like landscape design that included sustainable and drought tolerant prairie plants, RTF sod which is a drought and heat tolerant turf that requires less watering and maintenance, an amphitheater for public use as an outdoor classroom and performance space, and interactive and educational pathways and signage.
